Looking for a quick room transformation that will not take planning and can be completed in a few hours? Think pillows! They can be magical and take a room from ho-hum to vibrant and exciting! Before you head out shopping, take an inventory of what you already own. If you have a lovely colored throw that you would like to incorporate into your room but don’t feel that it matches, coordinating pillows can add the balance! Decide on the pop color or colors that you want to add to your room. Many home stores have various options available such as Pier 1, Target, or Pottery Barn. If you are a DIY type, you may run to your local fabric store and make pillow coverings (using the pillow inserts you already own.) For an easy tutorial on making pillow covers, click here. Don’t be afraid to mix and match colors or textures, in fact; I encourage you to!
