It’s January, and do you know what that means? Time for the biggest sales on bedroom linens you will see all year! Search for your favorite online bedroom or linen site, and you will notice that they are offering discounts on linens and often bedroom furniture. January is the month to get a new duvet cover or replace old sheets with a fresh look.
Three ways that you can quickly give your bedroom a new look:
1. Add light!
Add new bedside lamps or update old and dark lampshades with white or light cream shades to add an instant brightness. There are many affordable options online and in home stores in your area that you can pick new lamps and shades. For tips on finding the perfect lampshade, click here. Be sure you are using bright white light bulbs of the same color to ensure a balanced look in your room.
2. Fresh Paint!
If your bedroom has not been painted in over ten years, it’s time for a fresh coat! Think of your wall paint as the backdrop, and use your room elements as ways to introduce texture and color. Depending on what paint you like to use, check out the manufacturer’s website and they generally will offer a palette of colors that go well together. To name a few options:
3. Add fresh pops of color!
An easy way to add a fresh pop of color to your bedroom is to add a new throw, a few pillows, and a vase of fresh flowers for an instant inexpensive pick me up.
Other ways to add color is to choose a colorful throw rug, a unique piece of furniture, or a lovely piece of artwork that features the pop color(s) you love. Large patterned florals and geometric designs are on trend in 2019, and there are many beautiful wallpaper options or murals that are easy to apply and remove.
