Add a Beach Style to Your Decor

I love this time of year! Primarily because it is warm, and you can enjoy all the fun aspects of summer! Going on a beach trip has always been one of my favorite and most relaxing vacations. If you love the beach and wish to add touches of beach life to your style, continue reading.

6 Tips for adding a beach or seaside look to any room:

1. Purchase a nautical-looking piece of artwork. Or consider making a unique piece of art yourself. The Graphics Fairy offers free online images that you can use to transfer to anything.
2. Add a seaside candle for the scent of being by the ocean.
3. Add beach-themed pillows and throws.
4. Decorate with natural items you have found on past vacations, such as shells or pieces of driftwood. These can be displayed in many ways and mixed with existing items in a lovely bowl, a tabletop, or in a vignette of accessories.
5. Add a sisal or jute rug for texture and the natural look of sand.
6. Add things with rope. Learn how to turn an old lamp into a rope lamp for a nautical touch.
