Things to Do this December and January

Do you have friends or family visiting over the upcoming holidays? I always like to come up with some activities to help keep everyone busy and happy. I did a post before Thanksgiving that included things to do in the Philadelphia area including holiday shopping, etc. that are ongoing now, click here to see that article. To help you create your activity calendar, I’ve summarized options that you can plan:

Live entertainment – dance, theater, music:

Light shows:

Activities geared for kids (of all ages):

I always like to have some down-time activities planned. Perhaps a few favorite holiday movies or crafts on hand for the kids. Depending on the age will determine how complicated you want to get. Your neighborhood craft store will offer many holiday kit crafts for you to choose from based on the kids involved.

Things to Do Thanksgiving Week

Depending on your holiday vacation schedule and if you have family or friends visiting you this week you may want to come up with some activities to keep everyone happy. In other words, to keep you happy! There are the usual choices to go shopping at the King of Prussia Mall on Black Friday, go to the movies (buy your tickets in advance if you wish to get in), or go bowling (which can be fun if family groups become teams and compete.) For additional ideas in the Philadelphia, PA and surrounding areas:

Enjoy Family Traditions

As next week is Thanksgiving, I wanted to check in with you and hear about your family’s holiday traditions. As a family of six, we never lived near relatives, and we created our own. We play games, laugh, do puzzles, watch a movie, and eat a lot together! I also like to use the time after Thanksgiving to set up the house for the Christmas holiday; this ensures that my kids are involved and that I have help, a double bonus!
