Having a designated area for all your routines is the most efficient way to use your space. Regardless of the amount of space you have, you can have a coffee or tea bar in your home. The key is to place all the items together required for hot drink production. This week, I wanted to offer a few ideas on how you can add a hot drink station to your home.
Transform an area of your countertop into a versatile hot drink station. Use a tray, wood or wire baskets, and any other supplies necessary to make the drink of choice. If you have limited countertop space, consider adding a shelf under your cabinet to hold or hang mugs. Think vertically for storage by hanging a rack with hooks, or creating a unique mug holder, such as this one from A Beautiful Mess.
Use Space Wisely!
Reconsider how you are not using nooks in your kitchen and transform them into a coffee and tea bar. By maximizing your kitchen space, you create an area for your favorite hot beverages. Consider some of these ideas:
- Turn a breakfast dining area into a hot drinks area.
- Utilize a bar cart’s versatility to corral all necessary items to create an area. It can be easily moved around, making it a perfect solution for a hot drink station.
- Transform or purchase a piece of furniture you own into a hot drinks area. Wayfair offers many affordable tables with wheels, or you can add wheels to an existing piece of furniture to make it movable. Click here for DIY instructions. Also, if you have a kitchen island and want to extend that space, consider adding a small cart or table at one of the ends to serve as your hot drink station.
- Consider creating a dual space, a bar area at night, and a hot drink station in the morning.
Note: If you are considering a kitchen remodel, add the hot drink station to your design.
I hope these ideas have inspired you to create a hot drink station in your home. If you need help reimagining your space, give me a call at 610-9558202 or email. Now, for a cup of tea!
