5 Quick Bathroom Updates

Are you tired of looking at your old builder-grade bathroom? If you want an update but do not have the resources or time to do a complete renovation, there are five things you can do this weekend to give it a brand-new look!

Remove the Builder-grade Faucet

Many options are available, and you can go to your local home store and find something you like. If you know how to turn your water off, this project may be simpler than you think! For online options, click here for ideas from FaucetDirect.com.

Add new Hardware and Light

Replace old hardware with a new and updated look! Wayfair has some beautiful online options; click here to view them. You will find plenty of help online to install towel bars and TP holders. If you have the old brass or silver builder light, consider spray painting it to match your new hardware set. Visit your local home store for an affordable light fixture to give your bathroom a fresh style!

Add a Shower Curtain

If you have an old builder-grade shower door, cover it with a tension rod and shower curtain! There are many lovely options in any color combination you could imagine.

Add or Replace Cabinet Knobs

If your builder cabinets do not have knobs, add them to complement your new bathroom hardware. If you are looking to make a statement with your cabinet knobs, visit Hobby Lobby or Anthropologie.

Frame that Mirror

If you have a plain builder-grade mirror and dislike it, you can transform it with a frame. I found a resource online that offers beautiful framing options for standard-size bathroom mirrors. If you are handy, you can complete this project using molding from your local home store; view DIY instructions here from HGTV.

These are a few ways to transform an outdated bathroom with a fresh look! If you have the time and resources, consider a fresh, new paint color. For some paint color and decorating inspiration, check out my Pinterest board.
