With the start of February, we are officially in the best period to put your home on the market to sell. In past years, according to real estate company Redfin, February is the best month.  “The company’s analysis of nationwide listings from 2014 showed that 74 percent of homes listed in February sold within 90 days, and 13 percent of them sold for more than the list price.” (Source) Buyers who are looking in the winter need to move and are not merely looking for the fun of it. According to Zillow, if you can sell your home “off season†you are able to sell your home quicker and for a higher price as there are serious buyers and less homes for sale on the market. Are you planning to put your house on the market? If so, you will want to consider home staging and here are a few reasons why:
- Within 7-10 seconds of viewing a home, a potential buyer has formed an opinion if they like your home (or not). (Source)
- The majority, 90% of buyers, find homes that they have viewed on the internet. (Source)
- Every time a prospective buyer thinks a home needs a physical change; they automatically deduct $10,000 from the asking price?
- The best salesman in the house is how the furniture is set up. Correctly setting up rooms will take the guess work out of where the prospective buyer will put her furniture. You want them to imagine their things in your home.
“The ideal time, for staging your home, is BEFORE the realtor comes to assess and price your home.â€

Testimonials from Realtors who have worked with Debbie:
“Debbie has been a tremendous asset as a home stager for my clients. By utilizing the home owner’s furnishings, and then adding her honest, enthusiastic approach, sellers are very appreciative and welcoming of her skilled advice. Her keen eye for detail, for staging a home to sell, has made all the difference in a home presenting at its very best, and a positive result is getting it sold sooner! I would highly recommend Debbie’s services.” -Lynn Romolini, REALTOR, Prudential Fox & Roach
“I have had the pleasure of working with Debbie Correale from Redesign Right for almost three years. She designs and stages all of my listings. I have always been impressed with Debbie’s professionalism, style and her “way ” of relating to my clients.
She has taken vacant properties in terrible locations and made them “staged to sell.” Most of my listings sell quicker than other agents, I credit a lot of this to Debbie and her incredible talent that she has in her profession.
She has also designed my home; I actually cried when I came home for the “reveal.” Debbie takes what you already have and transforms your home using the special things that you already own and love! It is amazing. I have met and in the past worked with other stager-designers and I can honestly say, “There is no one better out there than Debbie Correale!”†-Liz Facenda, Realtor, ABR, CSR, CDPE, RE/MAX Preferred
