Tips to Repurpose Old Pieces

I love using old furniture, especially if it has a family history, and repurpose it for a fresh concept in the home. If you have an old piece stored, look at it and think of new ways to use it in your home office or for dining and entertaining.

This cabinet had been in our family for a long time, and my daughter wanted to use it as a bar cabinet. After a good clean-up and application of Old English furniture polish, we added removable wallpaper to the back of the cabinet to brighten it up and incorporate it into the room’s modern design.

You can add a fresh look to any piece by painting it; if it is small, consider spray paint. Keep in mind that removable wallpaper has many uses, for example, the back of a bookshelf or built-in unit.
