Springtime Home Update

Now that we have gained an extra hour of daylight you know spring is around the corner. That doesn’t mean we won’t have some unusual winter weather in the east; however, I’m thinking ahead! As the signs of spring begin, I am encouraged to look at my home and home decorating with fresh eyes. When I say this, I suggest that you walk through your house as a guest would, and look around and assess your home. What do you like? What would you like to change? What ultimately bugs you? This exercise is not a waste of time as the feelings you get from your home impact your life, so why not make it fantastic!

5 ways to quickly brighten your home for spring:

  1. The quickest and easiest way to bring a little spring into your home is by adding bright pops of springtime colors. You can do this in candles, vases, pillows, throws, artwork, and a vase of tulips purchased at your grocery store!
  2. Spruce up your outdoor entryway. Clean away all winter debris, add a fresh spring-like wreath, and a new cheery welcome mat. For an Outdoor Springtime Clean-up Guide, click here.
  3. Add air-purifying plants to your home, such as:
  1. Replace your kitchen towels, guest bath towels, or master bath towels to offer a luxurious and fresh feel.
  2. Replace your bed linens and add new throw pillows.
