5 Tips to help you Decorate for Summer

I love warm weather, sunshine, and all things summer! The beach is one of my favorite places, and I enjoy the shades of teal and blue. With those beautiful thoughts and feelings in mind, let’s review the things we love about summer and add them to our home decorating.

5 Tips to get you started on your summer decorating:

1. Include fun summer patterns of warm climates in your throw pillows.
2. Bring the fabulous natural elements of the outside inside! Incorporate natural fibers such as rattan and jute (in ottomans, rugs, or curtains).
3. Add the colors of summer! Use colors of the ocean with pops of bright green, coral, or blue in your artwork, throws, candles, vases.
4. Use touches of ocean-themed items in your everyday life.
5. Incorporate ocean-themed accessories such as fish prints, found coral, seashells, and driftwood. If you have favorite shells that you and your family have collected, display them in a wood or glass bowl. I have seen lovely pieces of driftwood used in coffee table decorations with candles that are stunning.
