You Found a House – How to Find a Mover
You’ve found a house and now you need to find a mover…what’s the next step? The obvious answer is to Google movers in your area. Go to ProtectYourMove.gov which offers a great moving check list and will also tell you if a mover is licensed for interstate moving. To view if an interstate mover has had any complaints filed against them, click here.
According to Liz Facenda, from RE/MAX PREFERRED REALTORS in West Chester, PA,
“After getting an executed agreement on your home that you are selling or purchasing, it is important to contact moving companies, as most settlements take place near the end of the month and they are generally very busy. Get at least 3 quotes from reputable movers, check the BBB to make sure there are no complaints and ask for referrals from your realtor, friends and family.†lizfacenda
